The Double Space Bed Hardware Kit is available
in two easy to assemble and customize versions:

Kit A: Consists of the Balanced Movement System
(BMS), assembly parts, and an 18 & 16 gauge rigid inner
framework that houses the BMS.
The Kit A framework makes constructing the furniture
simple by eliminating the traditional joinery techniques
needed to produce the columns 1-2 (see image below,
right). Provides easy - precise alignment of components,
and maintains the required track 6 spacing for free travel of
the bed platform 5. Outer panels and trim are simply
screwed into place from within, and supplemental furniture
can be easily attached.
Kit B: Consists of the Balanced Movement System
(BMS), assembly parts, and an 18 to 16 gauge rigid inner
framework that houses the BMS (less the columns 1 and
Telescopic bases 2).
Kit B requires more traditional furniture joinery work to
produce the DSB. The columns must be built to precise
dimensions to ensure proper functioning of the BMS.
Counterweights: Shipped empty & filled w/dry sand
or coarse steel grit (regionally available***) on site, thus
reducing 100 to 225 pounds of shipping & installation
handling weight.
All purpose sand for beds (platform 5 & most twin,
full/double & queen mattresses) up to 175 lbs. - uses 120
lbs. of fill.
Steel grit for beds (platform 5 & heavier higher loft
full/double, queen & king mattresses) 175 to 250 lbs. –
uses 120 to 195 lbs. of fill. (Est. finished platform wt. is 60
to 100 lbs – King N/A)

Freight costs are based on commercial truck freight lines - curb side delivery. The heaviest package is 217 lbs.
